BigCommerce Connector

Summary

The Jitterbit Harmony BigCommerce Connector provides an interface for entering user-provided input such as credentials to create an authenticated BigCommerce connection. That connection provides the foundation to configure associated BigCommerce activities that interact with the connection.

Supported API Versions and Prerequisites

The BigCommerce connector uses the BigCommerce V3 REST API. In the BigCommerce V3 REST API documentation, information about each object is included at the link under the Resource column of each table, including descriptions of the fields used in each object's data schemas.

The BigCommerce connector requires the use of an agent version 10.1 or later. These agent versions automatically download the latest version of the connector when required.

The BigCommerce connector uses a Store Hash, Client ID (optional), and Access Token for configuring a BigCommerce connection. To obtain these values, you will need to create a store API account, as described in BigCommerce API Account Creation.

Connector Overview

This connector is used to first configure a BigCommerce connection, establishing access to BigCommerce, and then used to configure one or more BigCommerce activities associated with that connection as a source or target within an operation:

  • Query: Finds an object at a BigCommerce endpoint and is intended to be used as a source in an operation.

  • Create: Creates a new object in a BigCommerce endpoint and is intended to be used as a target in an operation.

  • Update: Updates an existing object in a BigCommerce endpoint and is intended to be used as a target in an operation.

  • Delete: Deletes an object from a BigCommerce endpoint and is intended to be used as a target in an operation.

Together, a specific BigCommerce connection and its activities are referred to as a BigCommerce endpoint.

Accessing the Connector

The BigCommerce connector is accessed from the Connectivity tab of the design component palette by using the Show dropdown to filter on Connectors.

Once a connection is configured, activities associated with the endpoint are available by using the Show dropdown to filter on Endpoints and then clicking the BigCommerce connection block:
